Do you have a CPD?We are a proud registered member of the CPD Certification Service and have created an accredited CPD - Enhanced subbase attenuation for source control sustainable drainage. This is a free educational presentation that can be held in person, online or a combination thereof.
-
How strong is the Formavoid? The Formavoid units provide huge strength by load spread through aggregate infill. Formavoid units have been independently tested by a UKAS accredited organisation. Vertical loads in excess of 120 tons/m² were achieved during a standard plate bearing test with no surfacing (plate test on top of subbase stone). Previous installations have demonstrated that when installed on a 5% CBR formation, a Formavoid subbase with 150mm MOT Type 3 cover can achieve in excess of 30% CBR on top of the subbase. Suitable for use beneath car parks, roadways, bus routes and service yards.
-
Where can I buy Formavoid? You can purchase Formavoid and its components direct from FORMA, or via merchants. Alternatively we have supply & install contractors that can be recommended upon request.
-
Is the system available internationally?FORMA is based in the UK and has international partners. We have distribution partners for civils in Europe & North America. We have proudly partnered with SIS Pitches for global implementation of Formavoid in sports.
-
Do you provide design support?Yes - our engineers are ready to assist with your drainage scheme. We regularly work with engineers from concept stage right through to construction details. We also have a library of CAD details available and provide tools/training on how to design using Formavoid.
-
How is the system maintained?Formavoid subbase systems do not require any special/additional maintenance to traditional systems. When used as part of a permeable pavement, the permeable surface should be maintained as normal. When installed as part of an impermeable system with Formachannels, the channels require 3 monthly inspections and annual cleaning. All systems are designed to prevent silt entering the subbase. Silts are trapped in maintainable assets.
